There has been something quietly circling in my heart lately.
Not an answer.
Not a grand realization.
Just a simple question that keeps returning to me...
What am I feeding?
As I recently returned to a daily practice of Kundalini yoga, breathwork, meditation, and mantra, I noticed something almost immediately. Life around me hadn't changed. The responsibilities were still there. The unknowns were still there. My calendar wasn't suddenly lighter. But I was different. I felt more grounded, more patient, and more able to meet the ordinary moments of life with a steadier heart.
It reminded me that these practices aren't about escaping life. They help me return to it more fully. They help me come back to myself.
As that feeling settled in, I found myself paying closer attention to what I was allowing into my mind and heart. The world is constantly asking for our attention. News, opinions, social media, endless information, fear, urgency... there is always something inviting us to react. Very little invites us to pause.
And yet, I believe that is exactly what we need.
I've never felt particularly comfortable around judgment, gossip, or unnecessary drama. Like many of us, there have been moments when I've participated simply because I wanted to belong. But if I'm honest, it never truly felt aligned with my heart. These days I notice that even more. It's not because those things have disappeared—they never will—but because they no longer nourish my spirit.
Healing has a beautiful way of changing what we're willing to participate in.
It isn't about becoming better than anyone else. It's about becoming more honest with ourselves. We begin to notice what leaves us feeling expanded and what quietly drains our energy. We become more discerning, not more judgmental. We start asking different questions.
Does this conversation leave me feeling more connected?
Does what I'm consuming bring me peace?
Am I feeding fear... or am I feeding love?
Quan Yin has been one of my greatest teachers in this way. Her energy continually reminds me that compassion doesn't ask us to carry the weight of the world. It asks us to keep our hearts open while remaining rooted within ourselves. As someone who feels deeply, this has become a daily practice. I can care without carrying everything. I can remain present without losing myself.
As I look at the remarkable astrological shifts unfolding around us, I don't believe they're simply asking us to learn more astrology or understand every transit. I wonder if they're inviting something much simpler and much deeper.
Perhaps Uranus is asking us to awaken.
Perhaps Saturn and Neptune are asking us to build a life that reflects our deepest values.
Perhaps Pluto is asking us to rethink how we live together.
Perhaps Jupiter is reminding us to create, to trust, and to live from the heart.
And maybe all of them together are gently asking us the same question:
What are you feeding?
Your mind.
Your body.
Your nervous system.
Your relationships.
Your creativity.
Your soul.
Because what we feed each day slowly becomes the life we experience.
Something else has quietly returned to me through this practice—creativity. Not because I set out to be more creative, but because I finally created enough space for inspiration to find me. It reminded me that creativity isn't reserved for artists. It's found in tending a garden, preparing a meal with love, writing in a journal, comforting a friend, dancing in the kitchen, or noticing the beauty of a sunrise.
Maybe creativity is simply love made visible.
The older I get, the less interested I become in finding all the answers. I'm far more interested in living the questions.
How can I be more present today?
What truly nourishes my spirit?
How do I respond instead of react?
How do I become a little more compassionate—with myself and with others?
Those questions have become my practice.
Whether I'm sharing astrology, offering an energy healing session, guiding a meditation, or simply sitting in conversation with someone, my hope is always the same: to create a space where we can pause long enough to hear ourselves again.
Because I don't believe healing is about becoming someone new.
I believe it's about remembering who we've been all along.
So as you move through this month, I invite you to pause for a few moments each day. Step outside. Feel the warmth of the sun on your face. Listen to the birds. Notice the breeze moving through the trees. Place a hand on your heart and gently ask yourself:
What am I feeding today?
May the answer lead you back to what truly nourishes your mind, your body, your spirit, and your beautiful heart.
With love,
Donna ✨
